Interview with Suzanne Allaire from GECA

Suzanne Allaire, Ph.D., has more than 35 years of experience in environmental science and nearly 30 years in thermochemical processes, including pyrolysis, gasification, and biochar production. A former professor at Laval University, where she served as director of the soil physics laboratory, she now heads GECA Environnement and SustanAllaire. She works with companies in some 30 countries to help them transform their waste into useful and profitable products. The author of more than 100 publications and a renowned speaker, she also contributes to the development of North American standards for biochar. Her career path demonstrates how science, entrepreneurship, and the environment can come together to create a career that delivers concrete solutions.
